Situated on MG Road in Hosur, amid a concentration of over a hundred jewellery showrooms, the proposed transformation of family-owned Harish Jewellers seeks to give an established business a landmark presence. The brief called for an identity that conveys its standing through material quality, craftsmanship and understated grandeur. Inspired by the client’s vision of a mandir, the interiors reinterpret temple architecture through a contemporary language of marble, carefully crafted details and a restrained palette. The intention is to create a serene, dignified setting that brings a sense of occasion to the jewellery experience. The slender façade carries this expression onto the street. Three illuminated curves, reminiscent of jewellery strands, sweep upwards through the stone frontage towards a perforated crown. Subtle in daylight and luminous after dusk, the composition draws the eye along its height, giving Harish Jewellers a distinctive identity within Hosur’s competitive retail landscape.
