Set within Kalyandurg’s evolving jewellery market, the proposed redesign of Swarnamandir gives an existing showroom a fresh, recognisable identity. In a town dominated by smaller retailers, the client sought a distinctive frontage that would immediately communicate the store’s purpose within its residential setting. The façade translates a ceremonial necklace into architectural form. Layered, faceted elements descend around a central pendant-like feature, framed by an illuminated neckline. Textured stone, metallic accents and an intricate perforated screen lend depth and richness to the composition, while warm lighting reveals its contours after dusk. The result is a statement of adornment at the scale of a building, connecting the jewellery within to a memorable presence on the street.
